College Scholarship/grant Question?
Posted by admin on 9th November and posted in scholarships
Well I am currently attending Saint Louis Community College and plan on receiving my Associate degree in May of 2010. Therefore, I plan on transferring to a 4 year old school and starting in August of 2010. I have been keeping my grades up, and have a 3.5 GPA. However, I am a little clueless on what to do about scholarships and when to start applying and where to start applying for scholarships and grants. The university that I am planning on going to will give me 5,000 dollars for a 3.5 GPA. However that is not enough for me. Does anyone know any websites that give out scholarships and grants. Also, do you guys think it’s a bit early to be worrying about all of this. When should I do the financial-aid stuff? Any information would be appreciated.
It’s never too early to plan your financially for college. I suggest visiting the financial aid room at your school (they should have one). There should be people there willing to give you information if you ask.
Also, It would be a good idea to apply for FAFSA each school year, which is a federal financial aid. It’s based on your financial needs.
Here’s a link to your school’s financial web page also http://www.stlcc.edu/Admissions_and_Registration/Financial_Aid/Index.html
